What’s this all about?
Once a week, early on Monday morning, Mohammad Sajit Anwar posts the Weekly Challenge in which he sets two tasks and asks us to code them in Perl, Raku or any other language of our choosing.
Some of these tasks involve obscure realms of number theory, but others are more from the real world. Some of them are - by my reckoning - quite easy, and others require considerable thought.
Every week around 50 people submit Perl solutions, 25 respond with Raku and a dozen or more provide solutions in other languages. We are invited to blog about our solutions, and this is my blog.
I discovered the challenge in week 124 and have been submitting responses almost every week since then. I have also subsequently filled in any gaps when I was unable to submit solutions on time, and I have also written solutions back to week 101. All of these are available on this website.
